The only funny part was when they pointed out how Stoick should have taken out Drago.

Ruffnut, Snotlout, Fishlegs, Eret and Gobber could definitely be explored more in shorts and spinoffs, but the third movie must focus on Hiccup and Toothless.

I wouldn't say HTTYD2 improved on all fronts. It was clear that Dean wanted to have a darker and more dramatic and tragic story, but his goal conflicted with the intended audience.

The award givers just saw something special in HTTYD2 that they didn't see in Lego or Big Hero 6.

I'd like to hear their criteria and justifications.
