Ok, I'm convinced that this is pilot for the new season. The characters' designs resemble concept art from Dragons 2.

XD I thought this was great.

It annoys me that this was cut from the movie.

I wonder if the short is really meant to be a preview for the show. It would make sense since the series is no longer going to be on TV.

The only way they could bring back Stoick is if it's a flashback or in a dream. If they did that, then it would be fine.

Hmm...According to the Dragons art book, they wanted the film to have natural lighting during early/late parts of the day. They said everything looked too weird in midday light.

I guess they were afraid it would be too dark to see everything.
