I think they did it short to keep it moving fast. That, and they don't want to make a family film too long because it will lose the attention of younger viewers.

Valka meets Astrid, Valka meets Skullcrusher, Eret having more direct conversation with Drago. Maybe the third one will be in the Third film.

you don't like character development??

I was going to ask the same thing. Character development is part of telling a good story, and without a good story, these movies would be terrible.

I thought it was pretty powerful that Eret fired an arrow as well. Subtle but powerful.

Why would you do that? Let the story unfold as is intended.

They released it too early. They had too many other films to compete with. If they waited until July they would have had it better.

I knew it was happening but didn't know when until i heard the soundtrack. I thought it was going to be later in the film. I didn't read the names of the soundtracks until after I heard them all.

Also Hiccup and Astrid... it wasn't overdone at all. There was just enough there.
