I don't take it seriously and I wasn't expecting HTTYD2 to get anything since a Disney movie came 9th this year. It's expected. No one in the movie industry takes Animation seriously.

He's just another comedy character. Nothing else. I liked him before but the movie and all of it's characters have worn off on me.

Honestly no spire off is needed. This is a story about Hiccup and his drago not Hiccup and the adventures of all of these secondary characters.

The TV show is NOT canon. Only the movies and certain shorts.
