I would really like some help on hands, faces and feet my best hiccups

That didn't happen.... Nope. And second of all it's simply practice. My humans still aren't that great. What I've done is I pick a character (for me it was book Hiccup) experiment with different art styles and draw the features tons of different ways, then at some point you'll find something you like. It's easier to do on characters where you just know a little bit about their appearance. For instance Bookverse hiccup has unruly red hair and blue eyes. There's a few other details we know but theres only so much we can pull. For instance he doesn't have Specific head shape, eyes shape or nose shape. There's only so much you can pull from pictures.

Human/Former Dragon/Night Fury Posts: 121 Group: Registered users Member: 104 Joined: 04/09/2014	Hands are difficult to draw I usually use someone to help by putting their hand/hands at a certain position so I can have a good view of the hand/hands. For feet I usually make the character wear shoes or make them stand to make it easier. When you draw heads you have to know what position the person or whoever is facing and you also have to stick with equal proportions. Just keep practicing and working on it and you'll get better. Before you draw hand and feet you should have an extra paper to practice on before you put it on your drawing.
	I ate a tasty looking purple flower and then the next thing you know I am human. I am currently trying to get used to the whole being human thing so be nice. I am completely human not a hybrid okay?

antisocial british nerd with a youtube channel Posts: 1772 Group: Registered users Member: 618 Joined: 05/20/2014	When I draw Astrid for my animations I usually do this: Simplified Astrid tutorial Get the shape of the head and body and the direction in which you want your character to be facing, plus the position of the arms. Start adding the hair to determine the face area and the shoulder plates. Finish the hair and do the fingers around her hips by doing sort of bent triangle shapes (I usually only do 3 fingers and a thumb, it's way easier and avoids the bunch-of-bananas effect that sometimes happens) Do the face and the skirt. Then move on to the legs and the boots. The boots are basically rectangles with one side wider than the other. Add lines to determine the "bend" of the boot. This also shows which way the foot is facing. Go over the outlines of the boots and add the line for the fur. And boom, there's your simplified Astrid! I do this every time I do an animation It works for pretty much any character! I hope it helped
	Me? An otaku? Pfff. Yes I do like dragons if you're wondering. Doesn't seem like it from my profile pic n signature, I know, but I do.
