Should I provide context? Yeah, probably. Will I? Eeh...

(Okay, okay, so I participated in the Summer Mystery Art Trade 2022 on the HTTYD Artists Discord server, and was given Jalohaikara as my "target". I decided to do a piece of her "Jalofury"... species, I guess, which lives in Japan and has the ability to transform into "noodle mode", a form that quite resembles the traditional Asian dragons. The first time around, though, I didn't know that it was supposed to have legs, so I made it without.)

So, seventeen days ago as of typing this, the user who goes by "Toothless" on the Dragon Chat asked to be sent warm tea, blankets, and brown sugar cinnamon frosted pop tarts (why so specific? :P ), which inspired me to start working on this scene. It took me until today to get it finished enough to post. I don't know what's with the blocky oddities on the cavefloor, but I suspect they're a result of the fire domain's emissive-volumetric material. I sadly couldn't figure out how to get rid of them, but I'm otherwise quite happy with this scene. ;)

The HTTYD Artists Discord server is doing another Winter Gift Exchange, and my recipient requested "Something involving the character Ori from Ori and the Blind Forest". Since he had last year requested "Anything interacting with a Rubik's Cube", I took both of those and made this, which is honestly probably my most adorable scene to date. ^_^

The most difficult/labor-intensive part was rigging Ori. I found a model easily enough (thank you, models-resource.com), but it wasn't rigged, so I had to do all that by hand. And it still doesn't deform very well, but at least I was able to make it work.

Free extra pic of the WiP, captured when I realized what I was making was totally adorable: <3

One person suggested I use a forest as the background. I had considered that, but from previous experience, forests were quite difficult to get right. However, after successfully designing a custom fantasy-style tree, I was able to get this:
