I'm writing a modern-day fic and I need alias names for Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Snotlout, and Fishlegs. So far I have:
Ruffnut: Roxy, Ripley
Tuffnut: Travis, Tyler
Snotlout: Stanley, Sawyer
Fishlegs: Frankie/Frank, Felix

But do you guys have any other suggestions for names? It would help me out a lot!

p.s try to keep the first letter of both names the same please!

Astrid = Astrid
Hiccup = Henry

I use Stefan for Snotlout and Harrison for Hiccup (his name is Harold in a few countries too.)

Hiccup's still going to be called Hiccup though in one of my modern-day ideas, because during an exam while everything was quiet, he started hiccuping, resulting in the nickname XD

Yeah, in France he's called Harold It's really weird seen as I've always known him as Hiccup to hear Valka say "Harold!"

I just saw an ad and there was a guy named Scott Jorgenson. And I thought, this is a perfect name for Snotlout since Scott=Snot so yep.

Hiccup: Henry
Astrid: Anna or Amelia

When I write modern-day, I use these names for the group:

Hiccup: Hanson Harrison Haddock III
Astrid: Astrid Hofferson (it's common enough)
Fishlegs: Franklin Ingermann, Frederick Ingermann
Snotlout: Samuel Jorgenson
Ruffnut: Rachele Thorston (I love the idea of giving her a more "girly" name and having her scoff at it); Rachel Thorston
Tuffnut: Thomas Thorston; Timothy Thorston

The bolded names are used when the group uses "nicknames" and their "nicknames" just so happen to be their names from HTTYD.

Eret: Eric (duh.)
Valka: Valerie (or just Val). I sort of have this head cannon that, in modern times, instead of living in a dragon sanctuary, Valka runs away to a hippie commune, so it may be appropriate for her to have an offbeat name.

I love those names.
But for Hiccup's name I a little concerned!
Why Henry?!
What about Hector?!! Or I found this name; Hakon.

If you want to know what Hakon means, It's first of all Scan. And it means "Of the highest race."
And it's a ROYAL Name for Norway!
So that's perfect for Hiccup.
Plus it's sounds the same.

Hic-cup, Hak-kon.
