I don't think Hooligans would be a good one because there are both Movieverse and Bookverse fans here and they have never been called 'Hooligans' in the Movieverse (at least, to the best of my knowledge). 'Berkians' however is perfect since Berk is in both Movieverse and Bookverse.
No...it has been called once. Stoick referred the tribe as the Hairy Hooligans in Rider's of Berk once, if I remember correctly.

And before you say the TV series and the movie universe doesn't connect, I consider them to be connected, so I'm talking from my perspective.
I thought it was Gobber, in episode 2. But I may be making scenes up in my head now lol
Maybe it is Gobber, I don't know. The point is is cannon that they sometimes do refer to themselves as the Hairy Hooligans. Though more recently, they were just refer to as Berkians.

(Another reason that I couldn't pick one between 'Hooligans' and 'Berkains' for our fandom name, even though I've already picked 'Hooligans'...)
