To solve the problem of being too far from the dragon hanger, just add either a warp feature in the map, of just have the option to warp to the hangar from the pause menu, just like in the HTTYD2 game.

If we're going by real time, we should maybe include the longest day? Everyone is... less than functional, and your character's energy levels are low. Frustrating, but entertaining. Maybe you can take naps to help, but they won't work quite as well as other times of the year?
Those are some good ideas :)

To make it realistic, your dragon could have an energy gauge, which would run out after an hour or so of flying. You would need to have a pit stop at the nearest location to 'refuel' your dragon by feeding and resting them. If you just kept flying until the energy gauge was gone, your dragon would pass out and you would both crash into the sea, but you would wake up at the nearest place, maybe the local inn if there was a village nearby.

I also think that it should be possible to fall off your dragon, but it would be realistic, unlike the awful physics engine in the HTTYD 2 game. (I'm sorry if I keep bashing it.)

There should be a survival aspect as well. For example, animals like bears would come out at night, and you could encounter wolves in forests.
Books are like dragons... if we do not believe in them, and read them, they will cease to exist.
How then will we learn the language and understand the stories of the dear dead ghosts of the past?

You should be able to visit Valka's Sanctuary (although wasn't it destroyed in HTTYD 2?) at the very far north of the map, and there should be a feature where you could release dragons there.

@Dragonrider’s Fury, if I try to get a few more people to work on the game (such as creating models, beginning development, etc) and I continue writing the script, do you think that making the game could be achievable? (I feel extremely confident about it. :))

About Valka's Sanctuary, then definitely! I don't think it was destroyed, just damaged.

And about that part directed at me, we won't know until we try. ;)

Who's to say the sanctuary couldn't be rebuilt? ;)

That could be a great idea for a quest! :) But I don't think it could be done without a Bewilderbeast.

I think we should make the flight times realistic. If you were right at the south end of the map (e.g. Scauldron Island), it would take at least a couple of hours for you to reach the far north. Maybe we could even make the flight times the same as the ones on Hiccup's map, so if you wanted to go from Berk to Dragon's Edge (you would probably need to do that quite a lot), you would need to fly for 34 hours (which I think is roughly a day and a half), and there could be a counter in the menu to track your flying time, with a notification if your dragon is getting tired. Of course, there would be islands along the way, so you could always stop at one of those and save the game, refuel your dragon to prepare for the next part of the journey, buy some supplies in the village. You could have the option to fast-travel (because flying for 34 hours between Berk and Dragon's Edge continuously would probably get very annoying), but only if you've visited that location once before.

I was also thinking that if you were short on fish or meat, you could come across fishermen near the coast and hunters in the forest, who would offer to give you some free food if you completed a quest for them. For example, a Sand Wraith could have stolen a fisherman's lunch, and you have to get it back! :P Maybe you could also train the Sand Wraith.

(Has anyone seen the new 'PLEASE READ THIS' spoiler in my signature? :))
