What do I put here again?

Kired wasn't sure what to say to that. He kinda liked the dragons. They added a challenge to an already tough life that and he took it willingly. He fell behind Kaj, then Meyla, soon Pandora, and lastly Hiccup. He was curious about Meyla and Hiccup seeing as he only knew that they were the companions to Pandora.

Pandora wondered what Kired and Kaj were saying. After entering the chief's hut she immediately snapped to attention.

Kired followed everyone behind the crowd into the hut. He was one of the ones to find Pandora and hoped that that was enough to let him stay. The affairs of the tribe were his concern as well. He went to disperse the crowd that was gathering at the door soon after the meeting started.

Kaj stepped to the side to allow his father visibility to the newcomers.

Meyla watched Kired closely. She felt like this one was different. The dim hut made her squint, but she could make out the man in the centre of the room. His garments matched those of the villagers, but his white beard matched his son's- who she noted was the only one with white hair.

The chief spoke out with a hoary voice: "G-mornin'..." he rasped.
Meyla could tell he didn't speak much english...
"Welcome... we have... expected you," he sucked in a breath and gestured for them to sit.
Meyla sat neatly on the floor, eyeing Kaj and Kired behind them.

Kai held back a faint smile- so far, this was peaceful- he could handle peaceful. He watched the group carefully.

Pandora remained standing. She spoke with caution so as not to offend anyone. "Hello, I was hoping we could reach an agreement so that we may live in peace between each other. We are sorry to intrude on your magnificent world but we're hoping to spare some of our people's lives from death by moving to another planet and starting somewhat anew. I am sorry if you don't understand some of what I'm saying, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask any of us." She stopped and let her arms fall to her sides. After a moment's silence, she noticed Kired moving from the door.

Kired got the crowd dispersed and leaned against the wall. He listened to Pandora's words, filling in the blanks on what he didn't understand and then looked to the floor, wondering what the chief would say.

He thought for a moment, stroking his beard and nodding.
Meyla looked back and forth curiously.
He straightened up and spoke: "We always try for peace. I accept your apology. If you wish to stay here though... we must set up boundaries."
"Like Borders?" Meyla added.
"More like... guidelines."

Kaj circled the room and sat next to his father, the light shining dimly on him illuminated his blue eyes as he watched the group. "I think we should make sure that there is no pollution."
The chief nodded. "No flying those machines that we know you have. Also... We will help you learn the ways of this planet... what not to eat, and the best to eat, etc... if you share your wisdom with us too."

Meyla perked up in interest- she was always curious to learn what this mysterious new planet had to offer. This was their chance! She turned to Pandora for her answer.

Pandora stood stiffly. She wasn't sure what to say. They could skyrocket to the top of the animal kingdom, however that was part of what ruined Earth. She looked down and crossed her arms. She sighed. "We can teach you some basic things, but it will take a while. It took us a ridiculously long time to learn what we have now and we would just be handing it over to you as a gift if I fully agreed now." She snapped her fingers and said, "How about we slowly help you and yours and our future generations get to where we are now? It would be a natural progression for the both of us and allow the both of us to flourish in our own way here. We came here for a fresh start. We can have most of our technology be a goal for what we want to eventually accomplish. I'm sure some of us won't agree on it, but if we can compromise what we can and can't use, maybe it'll work out."

Kired liked what Pandora was suggesting. It would get them on a level closer to them, and maybe make them more likeable as a result. He walked closer to Pandora and said "I like that idea. What about you chief? It would make us more equal and their technology is most likely adapted to where they're from. It probably wouldn't be that useful here." He stepped back and looked at Meyla, wondering if she'll support the two of them in this idea.

The chief thought for a second. "No advanced technology. Just basics. i don't want to corrupt my people. We are peaceful- no weapons unless they're for hunting. Medicines..." he exchanged a glance with Kaj who nodded.
There was an epidemic recently that wiped out many of the tribe, Kaj's mother included.

Meyla nodded. "I think that's fair. No war. What about the dragons? We... just found out that they inhabit here."

The chief shook his head. "We've tried living at peace with them for long time. They keep fighting us... stealing our meat."

"You have my condolences, but when it comes to medicines, we'd need technology to know what was wrong and seeing as we're agreeing to no technology, we'd be just as vulnerable as you to these diseases this planet has. We'd also be using your tools for hunting. On the topic of dragons, we've started to tame them. They've been having fun around us and they haven't gotten in the way all too much from what I've seen. We've even helped one or two and a few more are interacting with the other colonists," Pandora said. She wanted to firmly state what the initial terms would be. "Now then, I was wondering if you wanted to get negotiations for the treaty done now, or if we should consult our individual parties first and then come back. There we can finalize what we want out of each other and get a document signed stating our united peace."

Kired was sure that this was for the best of the tribe. He felt amazed by what she's been saying and how well she was standing her ground against the only authority in this land. He wasn't sure if these feelings were appropriate so he composed himself and stepped closer to the wall. "I think we should wait until tomorrow," He said meekly.

The chief huffed, "Fine. We meet you at your camp tomorrow at sun-high," he stood. "Bring your terms."

Meyla stood up as well and nodded politely to them.

"Kaj. Kired. Would you escort them out of the village please?" he nodded in return.

Kaj nodded and followed them out of the room, blinking at the fierce morning sunlight.

Pandora walked out with a smile on her face. We're making progress, she thought to herself.

Kired walked behind everyone as they left the camp. He noticed a faint clicking and asked Pandora whether or not she could hear. He grew wary as she said that she did after a minute of standing still. They both looked behind them every so often and kept their eyes to the trees as they walked by to the colony.

(The Heir of Time, would you please get Hunter over to them to talk for a moment?)

Mr. Potato Sandwich

Name: Klik

Age: 20

Personality: Cautious, insular and untrusting. Keeps to himself after years of quite a lonely life. Hunting mostly a mammal that would resemble a wild cow on Earth, keeping to hunting in clearances, the forest not suiting his flying style. Fearful of the unknown yet unbearably curious of what it could bring. Ready after 20 years of solitude to explore, to do new things and live a new life. From his loneliness he’s learned to be brave, independent, intelligent and very inquisitive.

History: Some months after hatching, he woke up during the day atop his parents and 2 siblings and while curiously looking over the edge was snatched by a thunderdrum for food. Although his parents were wakened by the commotion, the shrieks of the thunderdrum disorientated them and he fell loose from the marauder’s grasp and fell beneath a blanket of forest never to see his parents or family again. Keeping to the brush, eating rodents and small mammals, while never venturing above the surface of the brush until he was old enough and large enough to defend himself. Since then he’s been roaming in search of family. In search of home.

Appearance:
Body, 7 metres from nose to tail. With a large wing to body ratio. When sitting upright is roughly 7 foot 5 inches from the ground. (Eyes described below). Scales are smoothed on the head and shoulder and bulk out at a rounded triangular point
[[ -----http://deceitofevolution.files.wordpres ... skin-2.jpg ----- ]] and are much rougher nearing the tail. (The points protruding more and more, farther along the tail). The under-body is smooth and is flatly scaled. All of Klik’s scales are a black with a silver tint and orange fleck. On his head, upper neck and along the sides of his spine there are an arrangement of ridges (somewhat like those of a night fury except with varying differences in number and shape) On the top of the head there are 3 ridges, 2 of equal size sloping away from a larger pointed ridge. There are 10-20 small ridges along the sides of the rear of the neck which lead into two lines of ridges lying on either side of the spine which is somewhat pronounced. Klik’s ears are identical to a night fury’s but are 3 times the size and so are kept flat on the head unless intently listening to something.

Species:
Member of the strike class. Species name is yet unknown. Round face pointed towards, and rounded at the nose (very much like a night fury or skrill). Large wingspan. Shaped to be better for climbing and diving rather than turning while flying. It’s low weight and strengthened, thin wing-webs allow it to travel very quickly in a straight line. This species has elongated thighs and when walking on all fours can stand quite tall for its size (6ft). The legs tuck in beneath the body during flight. This adaptation also allows for some quick running and an incomparably quick take off. Dragons of this breed are born blind and stay somewhat so for life. Their iris is large and cloudy grey with flecks of yellow and orange. Their pupil being small doesn’t allow much light into their retina and this is the reason for its lack of sight. (The pupil is so small that when slitted it is hardly visible) Echolocation is its main means of clairvoyance. With a clicking sometimes high pitched in close quarters (over 25000 Hz- too high for the human ear to hear) and in larger areas and most places outdoors it becomes a much lower audible clicking. During the day because of this they have a comparably low quality sense of sight but at night it is improved 3-fold in comparison to any other dragon species. Because of this they are instinctually nocturnal. They, like night furies, project a plasma blast- but it is more a polished silver than it is purple. It can both burn hot and cool. Forming either fire or ice. Another adaptation for surviving at night and in extreme conditions. They are extremely rare, and are unseen by most anyone due to their caution. Generally they build small shelters of ice in cliffs for protection from the elements. Unseen at day, unseen at night. Their claws are thick, retractable and sharply pointed making them very adept climbers of rock and wood. These, although are not aggressive (unless they see you as prey), are very difficult to tame. There are a variety of different colour variations in this breed, as they are nocturnal black, silver and dark blue and purple colour schemes can be found between different individuals.

Humanoid friend [optional]: Pandora (after time)

Colonists: Is fearful and cautious of anything which could harm him. Being such a rare species has put him in contact with the human natives. Hunters sometimes wishing to take his head for glory. After all he is very vulnerable during the day time whilst sleeping. He is fearful of humans as it is, but can sense the colonists are somehow different.

Other: Due to the solitary nature of the species, these dragons do not make much sound past their sonar-clicking. Only when aggravated or defending something will they roar.
"I was so afraid of becoming my dad. Mostly because I thought I never could. How do you become someone that great, that brave, that selfless? I guess you can only try."</3
