Humans It's 2092, humanity is at its evolutionary peak, using the power of fusion to power our entire home planet. We've kept our eyes in the sky above, looking for a signal of life, waiting for something, someone, to say we're not alone...
We found something else. A warping in the fabric of spacetime, a wormhole, popped into existence around Jupiter, seemingly out of nowhere.. No one has been able to decipher how it formed, but many theorized that the Van Allen radiation belt of the gigantic planet and one of the multiple recent solar flares may have something to do with it. We've sent many probes to a journey through it, but seems like we can’t recover data from the other side unless the probe is recovered. A few other were sent to orbit it, getting glimpses of the other side and discovering that its "exit" is near a gas giant of slightly larger size, orbiting the planet inside the belt just like ours, in another galaxy.. Andromeda.
We've mapped some stars and discovered that the same planet is orbiting a star of its own, now named "Andromeda NF-4" (after the name of the host galaxy, the probe that made the discovery (New InterGalactic Star Explorer), the class of the star (Class F) and order of discovery (fourth star of its kind)), hosting roughly eight planets, one of them possibly habitable.
You were one of the lucky few to be selected for the first manned mission to Andromeda NF-4b, a Earth like planet with roughly 80% of its radius, with an Earth like atmosphere and a planetary ring instead of a moon, to explore and possibly colonize it if conditions are met.
The pilot of the ship was the last to speak to all of humanity, giving one last goodbye: “I’ve never been good with goodbyes. However, this time there’s no chance of seeing each other again. Me and my crew are leaving and sadly, we’re never going to be able to tell you how this mission turns out. I’m sorry that we’re not able to give you any closure. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to all the people I’ve never met, my friends, family, acquaintances, and last, but certainly not the least, my significant other. I hope that the mission turns out to be a success and I wish there was a way to tell you that it all worked out when we get ourselves well-established wherever we end up. I hope that we survive out there. I hope that, for the sake of humanity, we are able to carry on the human legacy and are able to give it a better name for itself.”
The ship was about to pass through the wormhole when it received a message coming from NASA’s CEO, another human of our pale blue dot, the last message that would ever be sent from planet Earth: “Heh… Sorry for not knowing what to say on this. I never know what to say when faced with with having to give a speech. Ummm… Humanity owes a huge thanks you. You have agreed to carry on our legacy and for that we can’t begin to show our appreciation, granted you won’t see or hear this until after we’re long dead. I hope I speak for most, if not all, of humanity when I say ‘I hope that you are able to give humanity another chance. A better one, one that isn’t as destructive, primitive, close-minded and conservative.’ I don’t mean to put any pressure on all of you. Heh, God knows you have a lot on you without me pointing it out. I guess the only thing I can say from me and hopefully most of humanity, because we all know there are those who disagree with this, is ‘Good luck. Here’s to hoping that this plan works.’”
As the message ended, a rather large flash came, hitting the ship and the gaseous planet, sending the radiation levels sky high. The wormhole shook, completely unstable, fading in and out, slowly collapsing on itself.. You all were forced to fire up the engines and quickly pass through the "dying" hole in the fabric of spacetime, it sending the ship into the orbit of Andromeda NF-4f. After one last look back, the telescope onboard got a glimpse of Earth, or what was left of it.. All of humanity was wiped out by a massive solar flare, powerful enough to rip off the planet's atmosphere. You (probably) got afraid, because now...
You’re one of the last humans.. Do not go gentle into that good night.
Dexalas It’s been 61 Elaarc cycles since the new king rose, and with a new king, a new queen.. Though, you (probably) wish that she agreed to the king’s offer, share the country and resources for a better world, but seems like she doesn’t want to, at least not on his terms.
Both kingdoms of our home planet Hitala have been fighting for control of one another and for control of Eln-Var (or Space, as humans like to call it) in a never ending race where winner takes all.. There has been no winners so far, as you can see.
Delexa (the king’s country/kingdom) and Lakrat (the queen’s country/kingdom) have been keeping their eyes and ears on the sky, in fear that the other may be the one to attack first, claws on triggers. Hmm? What is it? Oh, why I used claws there? Because Dexalas are quite different than humans, the only aspect they may have in common is their humanoid bodies, the rest is quite different, “dragonesque” in fact.
Anyway, both countries have been scanning the skies, in fear of a surprise attack.. When we found a strange signal coming from near Imdele, the biggest of Gas Giants in their system, and then even stranger signals coming from around the strange new object one cycle later, seemingly alien. Delexas and Lakrats are going crazy over the discovery, and the race for Eln-Var has now achieved a whole new level.
Both have achieved the mighty feat after so many tries, with another objective in mind: find out whatever is sending those strange signals first, in hope that it may be an advantage in the longest of wars… But we now have more problems to overcome as the rings show themselves to be filled with dust and the vacuum and low gravity of Space makes our wings and fiery breath useless and dangerous.
We may not have to do much, as one stronger signal seem to be coming right towards us.
Welcome all, humans, dragons and aliens alike to Infinity’s revival! As you may have guessed, this is a space exploration, war, survival, etc etc etc. kind of roleplay. Go all out! Be emotional, fight for your life, explore and salvage Hitala (Dexala’s home planet) to stay alive (if Human)! Be free to do whatever you wish (if Dexala, humans have quite a few limitations, why? Plot reasons, of course! )!

Other, please read As you can see, this roleplay offers the need for exploring and salvaging materials, why? Because this calls for a slightly more realistic scenario, where you have a limited amount of resources and will need to get more frequently if you want to lead an expedition down to Hitala, may be the reason why I chose to make the planet have rings (easier to mine material, within reach (you probably wouldn’t want to go travel to outermost planets to get resources in a almost real time roleplay, would you?) and poses more danger for the crew!).
Down on my signature you’ll see three bars, those indicates the current fuel level for each lander and will drop one level every time it’s used (it is possible to not use fuel at all when landing, but to take off, reach orbit and dock..). There also may be some extra information, but we’ll see. Oh! Oxygen levels (for main ship) too! The air in Hitala is extremely toxic for humans, as you can see up there (Pure O2 and CO2 too high for humans).
The roleplay for humans start right after travelling through the wormhole, sooo you may want to read those happenings up there before proceeding. As for Dexalas, it starts after I give the signal (time skip from the orbit of the gas giant to arriving on the orbit of Hitala, will happen when everyone thinks we’re ready to go).
No Dexala know the human language yet (will change after meeting the king for Delexas / meeting the queen for Lakrats), so please, please don’t make your human/dexala talk to the other like it’s just a normal thing, nor make your human/dexala understand the other’s language.
Hitala currency: pixels! What? What is that you ask? Well, little cubic blocks (0.5 cm³) of different materials like bronze, silver, gold and platinum, each filled with a tiny spheric neodymium magnet so they can stick together. The current amount of pixels needed to switch from lower values (Bronze being the lowest and platinum the highest) is exactly a thousand (10³), or a 5 cm large cube. Why? Because they are easier to store and can be easily attached to any metallic object of choice... Oh, you meant “why are you telling us this”, well.. I dunno, may help with the plot?
Doubts on anything? Questions about something else in this roleplay? PM me, let’s talk!
