"Yeah...Slithersong eggshell," said Zira. "I've read about this. Slithersongs hatch in some acidic dirt, which, after the dragon hatches, becomes this gunk because of something in its yolk. Judging from the solidity of this, I'd say a very young Slithersong is roaming free now. Probably still on this ship." Just as she finished speaking, a guttural dragon shriek of pure frustration echoed from one of the side rooms. "This is getting weirder and weirder by the second," said Zira, shaking her head. Then she leaped over the stack of boxes and landed lightly on the other side. A few seconds later, she was through the doorway and following the noises of an angry baby dragon. (Don't even know where that knowledge came from...my fingers type it before I even think of it) |
