Celebrating DreamWorks’ 20th birthday, it showcases more than 400 items from Shrek, How To Train Your Dragon, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda ‒ featuring never-before-seen concept drawings, interviews, models and original artworks ‒ and the kind of interactive experiences that ACMI does so well.
And something special for us too!

The flight simulation will take visitors on the back of Toothless the dragon (from How to Train Your Dragon) through the Viking town of Berk, which builds up gradually as it does during the production process.
It's at Melbourne!

*Only for Australians right now.

I've seen pictures and videos of this going around tumblr, it looks really good! I've heard the flight simulation is particularly great.

It would be awesome if it went on tour, so a lot more of us could see it too, but I'm not sure that's very likely.

I'll put a few links to things there, for those that are interested/can't go:

I'm more excited by the educational workshops and resources this exhibition provides, especially in the animation- and cinema-centered work. Not only is there fun for kids, but there are advanced classes specifically designed for students and adults who enjoy animation and want to learn how to break into this particular career field. That's AWESOME!
I can't wait to see where they plan to take this exhibition next. Bringing it to the US would be a GREAT idea~~
