I really like the song Stick&Stones from How To Train Your Dragon.

But English is not my native language and I’m not sure that I understand some phrases correctly.

Help me, please!

Can anybody explain (in other words) what these phrases from the song mean:

Up in through your sleeves,
Bursting through the seams

Sleeves isn't a part of a garment that covers all or part of an arm, is it?

Yep that's correct.

"Up in through your sleeves" is exactly that.
"Bursting through the seams" seams as in the edges of the cloth that are sewn together. So it is what you think it is.

So, these phrases mean:

fly in the sky on the sleeves (like on the wings)?

It's not clear, but that'll do. My version is "Fly through the sleeves and rip open the sleeve by the sewn edges." But you never know what the composer is really getting at sometimes.

From other Jonsi songs, I've noticed that the lyrics have a general point to them (here it's to "open your eyes and see" and for Go Do it's basically "we can do anything") but verse by verse don't necessarily have a meaning to them XD

Has anyone noticed that jònsi is obsessed with the word "go"

Does the combination of words 'burning shoes' mean 'fast running (in excitement)', 'being in a hurry'?
