In the flashback-scene with baby Hiccup, Stoick's wearing another helmet. I just... It's incredible, how much detail they put in these movies. It has been said before, but it's so true!
That's one of the many reasons I love this franchise.

Are you ready to be mind blown? listen to the Kill Ring(httyd 1) last 30 seconds then listen to Hiccup confronts Drago(httyd 2) last 32 seconds... Amazing how this tune relates to Toothless killing Stoick in both movies.

Here's something I've never noticed before, until I read about it on the wikia.
So, Hiccup has a prosthetic leg, and he uses kindness to train the dragons, and he gentally puts his hand on their head to train them, which communicates that they are on an equal level.
Drago has a prosthetic arm, uses fear and force to train dragons, and sometimes, he violently steps on their heads, (with his foot)which communicates to them that Drago is, literally, above them.
Mind=Blown.
Symbolism, right? Huh? Anyone?

I dunno if anyone has noticed this:-
left leg gone
left tail fin gone
stoick pushes hiccup towards the left
left arm gone
left tusk gone
Everything is so oriented towards the left!

And Hiccup is left-handed.

For HTTYD2 Randy Thom added a camel's voice to the Toothless vocalization mix. Now Toothless sounds more like Jay Baruchel. And me, come to think about it. And most people from Beijing. Hmmm....

Amazing
Its amazing how the animators use only a few simple gestures to show the innest soul of a character...with enough said.

The little move (nod) Hiccup gave Eret after Skullcrusher nuzzles him. It's just ... different, well, for an animated movie at least.
And the flag at the end of the movie is of Stoick.
And how Drago is like the opposite of Hiccup.
Hiccup= Left leg gone, uses dragons for good, dragon saved him
Drago= Left arm gone, uses dragons for bad, dragon destroyed him
Yeeeaah.

It will look like it's oriented to the left if you only look at things that are left. I'm sure there are some things that are oriented to the right. Surely.
