"Looks like Valka is riding the dragon at 1:31 since you can just barely see her staff protruding from the dragon." My old post on bg's page for the trailer.

And now that the video is in HD (thank you Gh3tto) I realized that she is on Coudjumper here and she seems to leap onto Cloudjumper's legs as he flips around and then climbs back onto his back (after Cloudjumper does that little twirl above the Alpha Bewilderbeest's tail).

And I am now thinking something bad might happen to Valka or Cloudjumper in this fight scene.

I felt very happy to see Valka in attire other than her thick leather and furs. The shots we've seen show her in clothes that are the same type of thin fabric that Hiccup wore in the first film, and what he apparently wears under the flight suit.

I guess the Valka-Berk side of the conflict is now confirmed as essentially nonexistent, given the whole reunion scene. It's much more of a simple A vs. B conflict now.

It seems to be a recreation of a temperate rainforest (with ferns and moss-like stuff) e.g. coast of Washington state, but without trees.

They had to flew far far away from berk to find such flora.

I also like the water that comes out of rock pinnacles in the last picture.

Or the ice cave could be creating a microclimate:
  • The ice (and water) serves as a source of plentiful moisture
  • High specific heat and heat of fusion of water/ice offers superior insulation from outside climate
Essentially it could be like limestone caves where the temperature is almost consistent year-round.
