I would like to think Ruffnut is going to have a love interest because she represents the girls that are not as "girly" or as "beautiful" as others, who often get overlooked and feel like they don't have a chance. Certainly for girls who are like Ruffnut in real life, the love pool is severely narrowed. I believe it would give young girls who are nerdy, or tom-boys, or just feel they don't fit in.. or even don't feel beautiful.. some hope that they too can find love. At least, thats what I would hope the message would be. As most females represented in films who get main roles and love interests are naturally beautiful, princesses, popular, and all that. But if I had to ship someone.. I would say Rufflout. I just think they would make a cute couple after seeing the scauldy episode. |

I don't think she should be with anyone. Snotlout and Fishlegs only like her because she's the only single girl. The same with Astrid, the only two girls. Just because she's female doesn't mean you flirt with her! I thought Fishlegs was better than that! :-/ For the Rufflout shippers, Snotlout did this to Astrid! He doesn't love Ruffnut, he loves that she is a girl. That's it. Remember how he hated Astrid but continued to flirt with her? Plus their personalities are not all that same. You're just recognizing the fact they like to stir up trouble. Riffing has no huge ego, and is not a flirt. Snotlout is not as much as a trouble maker, he mostly likes to defy authority, the other half is mostly his ambition to be in the spotlight. In fact, Ruffnut isn't exactly a spotlight seeker as well. I guess you could say they're both kind of stupid, though not as much in HTTYD 2. |

I ship Rufflegs! I know that since it's shown that Fishlegs and Snotlout are about on an equal level to Ruff at any given time, whether she doesn't like them or she does. But Snotlout and Eret are both tough and manly, while Fishlegs is weak by comparison. I love the idea of Fishlegs pulling a Neville Longbottom and getting the girl! |
