Today my copy of 'The Art of DreamWorks Animation' was delivered. It is much heavier than I thought.
I read the foreword from Jeffrey Katzenberg with tearful eyes. It reminds me why I love this company so much.

But at one sentence of his short biography I stucked:

"[...]DreamWorks Animation has become the largest animation studio in the world [...]"


I always thought Disney Pixar is, from the financial side, the largest Animation Studio?
nope! dreamworks is the largest. They have the largest staff and largest output of movies as well! While pixar is smaller and puts out fewer movies. Dreamworks tends to have a really good movie come out and then a not so good one that people forget about. Pixar was the first company to ever output a 3d animated movie which is why they are thought of and reffered to the most

DreamWorkshas more employees than Pixar? That's new. I thought Pixar has a much bigger staff than DW. But Pixar (7.4 billion $) is more worth than DW (1.55 billion $), probably it's because Disney pushes its capital.
