And I was talking from a design standpoint, I.e. instead of creating some awesome new dragon, they've just made a Gronkle that's a bit bigger but lacking in as many brain cells.

Where'd you learn they don't have brain cells? Just because they act like a walrus.....

I don't know if I would say he's lacking brain cells, but I do agree that design wise it does feel like DW just got lazy. Honestly the description could literally be filled in with bigger and more picky gronckle and it would still work. Maybe though there is more to him than meets the eye, and he's got a few hidden things about him that puts him in a different category than a gronckle. However from a fleshed out world standpoint. I do like the idea of subspecies of dragons looks are similar but personality and other things are different. Kind of like the idea how there are multiple different subspecies of birds that could be viewed as similar to others but they are inherently different in some way, shape, or form.

Grump is kinda adorable, probably cuz I feel like he matches Gobber so well. Skullcrusher just looks totally epic! I can't wait to see the other new dragons they've come up with :)
