I know there are a couple of people here in the fanbase that has allready seen the new film. Is it possible that we could get some reviews from some of httyd`s dedicated fans. We have allready gotten a few reviews from top critics and so on, but no one from real fans. I know I would relate more to the impression a fellow httyd-fanatic got from the film, than what a critic have to say.

It has a couple of weak points (Ruffnut's Eret reaction for one) but overall the movie is incredible and epic. Probably one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. Seeing it again in my hometown at a drive-in theater next week, and a 3D viewing. Then I'll probably leave it be until it comes out on DVD

Respectfully disagree! I thought the Ruffnut-Eret gag was pretty hilarious. Everything else was INCREDIBLE. Can’t wait to see it again, since I can barely remember it now even though it was only about two weeks ago that I saw it.

I thought it was fantastic. It had one or two flaws (I honestly didn't particularly like how the villain, Drago Bludvist, was written. I don't think they gave him sufficient enough motivation for his actions.) but on the whole I really liked what they did with it. I loved watching the interactions between the characters (particularly Hiccup and Toothless) and the vast majority of the new characters were great additions to the story.
Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not sure I liked how they ended it with Drago, with him seeming to get away with the bad Bewilderbeast. I dunno, I just thought that smacked of sequel bait, even though it's going to be a trilogy already. Either way, I plan on seeing it again the moment it comes out cause for the most part I loved it. I think most people here are going to be very pleased with it.

A bit of a loose end, but certainly not a cliffhanger.

No, it doesn't end on a cliffhanger. Like Night Fury Fire said, it's more of a loose end they don't tie up than an actual cliffhanger. Don't worry.

Does anyone have any idea what the symbol Gothi painted on Hiccup at the end of the movie meant?
