UPDATE: It has been confirmed! IMAX to release HTTYD 2 domestically! Check their website too. Guess I will have to see it in IMAX 3D as well!

Could HTTYD 2 be released in IMAX in the US and Canada? I noticed that AMC Theaters added "IMAX 3D" to their formats listed for HTTYD 2. That was not there before! When I asked IMAX before, they said "at this time" it is not being offered. Maybe it is time!?

Thanks for posting this. While the theater I go to isn't listing the movie for IMAX, I did see that there is going to be a double feature showing both Dragons films. So thank you for having me go to the site and see that!

Yeah, as I've said before, during HTTYD's run a lot of IMAX theatres ended up showing it later on. So don't give up hope for HTTYD 2, and keep checking your local places. It may show up!

Planning on seeing it in IMAX later on... at this point what really matters is just seeing the movie itself.... and the only IMAX theater that we usually go to isn't even showing the movie for a while yet soo..

Just hope the cinema actually plays proper IMAX. :'D

Though I wonder if they will make it set up correctly for IMAX theaters...
