For me, I actually cried during Valka's flashback, and when Stoick saw her for the first time in 20 years. I actually didn't cry when Stoick died, only because I was just so, so shocked. I could hardly believe my eyes! :'( So what about you?

I cried when Stoick said "You're as beautiful as the day I lost you." IT was very touching and the romantic in me showed.

The Viking funeral. I was almost prepared for that, but there were a couple of tears (especially when Gobber started his eulogy).

The thing that got me about that scene was how she was expecting him to say something harsh and was pretty much giving him the green light to criticize her and he says that instead.

my mom teared up here too

seems like a lot of people actually thought Stoick would die (even before that person sent anon messages on tumblr) I did too.

I had a feeling Stoick would die. I've had one since DoB led us to believe or some of us (my one friend as far as I know was the only one who did) that Alvin had died. Him, myself and another friend got into this conversation about it so yeah we've kinda had a feeling.

What I didn't expect was for Toothless to run up so quickly after, of course he probably didn't fully realize what he'd done at first. And when he did he felt terrible, made worse by Hiccup yelling at him and pushing him a way. I expected that Toothless would be aftaid and back away not try and get remorse right away. I thought he was going to be afraid of what Hiccup would think.

what got me was Hiccup yelling at Toothless. I know and understand why he did, but it just broke my heart. It added to my sadness of Stoick dying. By friend lost it when she saw Snotlout crying.

And Gerard was never confirmed officially. Just on Wikipeda, which can't always be trusted. His name isn't on imdb anymore and I don't think it was. (Wikipedia isn't always correct remember.)
that being said he could be confirmed just for a flash back.

You know for some reason I don't really cry during either movie though I do feel some form of sadness for certain characters at times.

I didn't cry when Stoick died, but I did tear up when Hiccup yelled at Toothless to "Get away from him!" and then he started crying over Stoick's body…
but I actually cried when (after Stoick's ship had been set on fire) Hiccup said something along the lines of (while talking about his father) "How do you become someone so great/brave?" and a lot of other things that made me cry :(

I was surprised that I didn't cry, but I think I cried at the speculation of Stoick dying and I didn't actually Cry during the scene or the whole movie...

and I recall obsessing over Stoick's death being possible like.. 3 weeks ago- so I guess that counts as a reaction....

Also.. alot of the movie just hasn't sunk in yet because it's soo much to take in....
