I know this might not be what everyone's talking about about I just want to say that the last bit was Stoick and Valka and then the bit with the music in the background at the end made me shed a happy tear XD I wonder if that program is exclusive to Dreamworks? It would be fun as a school project to do a 10 second animation XD |
Me? An otaku? Pfff. Yes I do like dragons if you're wondering. Doesn't seem like it from my profile pic n signature, I know, but I do.

Which software clip do you talking about? There are some. And if you speak about PREMO, yes, it is developed by DW and I don't think that they will sell it. HTTYD2 is the first movie in which they used PREMO. |

Do you mean this video? Spoiler: click to toggle
From what I've read, they might look into commercialising Premo. Edit: found it.

Premo is the animation software. Apollo is that name for the entire animation software suite that includes Premo. |
Nothing is in this signature, except this sentence describing that there is nothing in this signature. Seriously, I, [INSERT USERNAME HERE] have nothing to say here. Continue on with your viewing of not-so regularly scheduled posts. [INSERT CALMING, SUITABLE FOR READING MUSIC] Sorry to interrupt, I just wanna say....uh...what was I trying to say again? Never mind, continue reading.

That's why I asked which software clip you meant. Apollo is the complete toolset, which includes PREMO, TORCH, a new openVDB integration for Houdini and probably some more. Edit: Looks like someone was faster. |

Yay for my quick wits! In all seriousness though, I would gladly let DreamWorks take my money(if I have any to begin with) to let me have the software set. I bet that if they ever made Apollo commercially avaliable, it would cost at least between 1000 USD to 2000 USD. Because from what I can tell, they definitely spent a lot into creating the softwares. And judging from how much a set of Adobe Flash would cost by itself, it’s to safe to say that Apollo may cost above 2000 USD if it is ever commercially avaliable. |

Such specific software costs mostly much more and is normally not available for consumers. because you would also need a super expensive hardware setup. If they will ever sell it, it will be available only for other companies in the first place and we're speaking here about costs of around $100,000 for the licenses. |
