Fourth movie: I can relate, and I made a promise to myself, if they decide to go along with the 'split the last movie up' trend, I am leaving the fandom
Marriage scene: no, just no
Stoick alive again: I support the main ideas mentioned in other topics on this subforum
Children: eh

What I don't want:

major cliffhangers

Don't want unexplained/underdeveloped/incompleted plotlines.

I agree with everything WasBornCrazy said.

I'd like to see more of the characters going through changes and exploring the world of dragons.


I really don't think they'll bring back Stoick. To me, that would be just one big slap in the face to the story.

I don't want to see HTTYD suffer excessive sequel syndrome with a 4th movie. A 3rd movie should wrap things up nicely.

A wedding would give HTTYD a cheap Disney feel. The movie isn't about Hiccup's relationship with Astrid. Sorry Hicstrid fans

I'm pretty much in agreement with what you all said.

I don't want Toothless to become an alpha dragon with the ability to mindcontrol other dragons just like the bewilderbeat without any explanation, hint, or reason whatsoever. Oh wait...

Hiccup, Astrid, and some other third person love triangle. Also, the things you said, and Toothless having babies. That would just be an excuse to insert a bunch of cheap slapstick comedy moments. If they do make a fourth, I hope that the plot proceeds logically, and they don't just start picking silly or over-the-top plotlines at random and tossing them into the movie or add a ton of pointless and annoying comedy-purposes-only characters. Don't just try to make as many movies as possible just to make more money, because the movie will have much more feeling and impact if they are kept great, no matter how many or how few they make.

I think Stoick just suddenly coming back alive would be an insult to the people who had an emotional reaction to him dying! You can't just be all like "o wait n he aint ded lol". I hope and believe that Dean will stick to his guns and keep him dead though.

Also, I think a forth film would be a terrible idea, but the third film being split into two parts (ala Harry Potter etc) would be interesting to see. I'd love to see a massive fully developed story arc in the final act of the franchise.

To be honest, I wouldn't really mind if there was going to be a fourth film, as long as it's good. But, then, again, if that can't happen, I wouldn't mind if the third film was split up into two parts instead.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this. Either way, it'll mean more HTTYD, and you can't argue with that, right?!

I think the marriage scene should happen offscreen, and only be loosely mentioned by Hiccup and Astrid, because a marriage scene would be too Disney. HTTYD is its own franchise.

I'm sorry, but I don't support the idea of Stoick coming back. He's not going to. He's dead. Bringing him back would also be too Disney, and they may as well have not put his death scene in HTTYD 2 if they're going to bring him back. It would also mean that the lump in my throat that I had when I watched the funeral scene would be wasted...

Hiccup and Astrid having kids would be so cute! The next generation!
