I've only watched the whole movie a few times, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that, in the entire movie, Hiccup never once refers to Valka as "mother" or "mom" or even "Valka". (I'm not going to count the time when Hiccup tells Astrid that he was "catching up with mom" because it was more of a lighthearted joke, and he wasn't talking to Valka.) I'm sure this was no accident, and I think Hiccup was consciously avoiding calling her anything because while hasn't known her long enough to call her mother or mom, he still feels uncomfortable referring to her by her first name.
At the end of the movie Hiccup said " I'm really glad you're here mom." <3 :astrid:

Nah he says in the HTTYD2 Blu-Ray DVD extras he is left-handed (yet DW does both. *eye roll*)
I didn't get blue ray so I didn't see it could you find a way to post it? <3 :astrid:
I could do it, since I'm going to upload them to my channel on YouTube anyway, for people in the same situation as you. ;) :D :)

:'(

Something I realised earlier today.
This thing I noticed is prior to the second film.

Hiccup - knows that Stoick is alive, thinks that Valka is dead.
Drago - knows that Valka is alive, thinks that Stoick is dead.

Detail... :O I swear they do some of these things without even realising it sometimes...

Toothless appears at the very beginning like the first film although it is not as obvious. Just after the DreamWorks Animation gets hit by a wave if you slow it down it is possible tell that it is Toothless.

When Gobber is putting out the fire Grump caused, Grump had his tounge sticking out a little bit. ^_^

After Toothless breaks out of the ice Hiccup crawls out of the way so he can challenge the Alpha.
Also seems that his teeth can't be retracted when in the altered state.

Not sure if this belongs in this topic but I can't find anywhere else to put it. It is stated that most Stoker class dragons have the ability to set themselves on fire so shouldn't a Hideous Zippleback technically be a Stoker class dragon?(put this here because this was only shown in the second movie)
