Well, if you want to include stuff from Annecy, we do know that Hiccup gives Toothless another self-controlled tailfin, allowing him to fly on his own.

We also don't know how Hiccup and Astrid knew it was a Light fury... like if it was in the Book of Dragons or not.

Tbh they probably named it themselves or found an outside source? Don't think the Book of Dragons would have it, but maybe that's just my opinion.

It couldn’t have, since in Dragons 1 it ends on night fury, and they never come across evidence that light furies exist. So no book of dragons. Honestly it seems like the way Astrid said it in the trailer, she came up with it on the spot.
