Okay, got to watch 3 episodes. Overall, I'm really liking this season so far! The animation has gotten a bit better, the characters are still great, Hiccup and Toothless are a great due as usual, a really great start!
Episode 1 and 2:
Spoiler: click to toggle Dagur looks wired when he's older but never the less, he's still funny. I actually thought his escape at the beginning was great. Also, am I the only one who kind of sees why people ship Hiccup and Dagur after watching these episodes? Don't missunderstand me, I'm not saying I'm joining that side, but seriously; Dagur acts really... flirty... Maybe it's just me. Another thing I want to mention, it was nice seeing Gothi being badass and beating that dragon. And I'm not going to Gobber for any kind of medical attention... EVER!
Episode 3:
Spoiler: click to toggle First of all, the part where Toothless tries to drag Hiccup by his foot but accidently takes only the metalic part made me laugh. My favorite part the season so far. I also liked how Hiccup had a moment where he realizes he shouldn't have brought everyone with him and tries to fix it; I thought it was a nice character moment for him. One last thing, during the scene where everyone debats if Hiccup should explore the new islands there's a moment where Stoick mentions Valka's kidnnaping and tells Toothless to keep an eye on Hiccup. For some reason, these moments tuggled my heart strings, maybe because I know what comes next
Now, waiting for the next episodes...

Spoiler: click to toggle What was on the island where they were running off a cliff? Speed Stingers? Night Terrors are cool and make an excellent security system. It's nice seeing the outpost being built.
Spoiler: click to toggle Boars for the first and second time they jump off if I'm not mistaken.

There's the moment near the end when Hiccup and Toothless get seperated mid-air and after catching up to Toothless Hiccup says this "I should come up with something in case this will happen to us again". Something about the way that line was written, placed and somewhat acted irked me. We get it, Hiccup makes a flight suit which we saw in HTTYD 2. No need to shove it in like that.

Just to be clear I was kidding, it's just a small running joke on a particular episode from season 2.

What did you think when they did a similar line in episode 1? Personally I felt that line was more appropriate considering the context and all. I would also be curious to hear what you might think of a future episode and how you feel about it. (You'll know which one I'm talking about when you see it)

Spoiler: click to toggle The twins are hillarious! I couldn't stop laughing throughout the thing.
Episode 8:
Spoiler: click to toggle SKULLCRUSHER!!!! So yeah, that was pretty cool and I also liked the few father-son moments between Hiccup and Stoick.
Also something I'm noticing as the show goes on; they get some really great shots during the action scenes. For something with a budget of a TV show and not a feature film, some of the visuals are fantastic. Also, I noticed the scar Cloudjumper gave Hiccup is actually a part of Hiccup's model.

Episode 8
One of my favorites so far.
A look into how stoick got skullcrusher.
And that stoick also misses thornado.

Toothless, alpha dragon.
