Three people I know all say that Hiccup is a know it all ? I don't believe this for a second, what do you guys think.

Nah, he is! He is super smart on everything Dragons or inventions. Him AND Fishlegs.

SOMETIMES he can make some stupid decisions like going after Viggo with no backup or armor OR weapons, so you are wrong a little bit, he makes dumb decisions without telling anyone

I don't think he is.

Well, he kind of is, but not in the in-your-face kind of way. No one can deny he's the most knowledgeable about dragons. I think those people might be mistaking it for confidence. Hiccup has had a lot of experience where he's always right, so he keeps thinking that (like when he's so confident he can change Drago's mind.)

Being smart does not mean being a know it all, and Hiccup is not a know it all. He knows a lot, but he doesn't go around bragging about it and acting like everyone else is stupid. (although many of them are, that's not the point lol) Unless he's just being silly. XD

I agree with Heather, Snotlout goes around bragging, not Hiccup

Although... I'm currently watching the Thawfest episode and Hiccup is being a bit of a gloating know-it-all
