It kinda seems at one point in one of those clips that Hiccup is... protecting him? Yet in another, Johann is throwing a knife at Hiccup.

Guys I think i've figured some things out by just watching the breserker island episode ... 1st the place johann and hiccup where fighting in the trailer should be under the breserker island also their dragons were distracted as if there were a bewilder beast there .. also the dragon eye lens that held the secret of king of dragons was oswald's maybe he knew about having a bewilder beast under his island and maybe he went to vanaheim for sth related to this ... actually it's pretty cool when i think about it
