As I voted on the poll, both dragons are wonderful and fit into their "verses" really well :')
Personal, I'm glad they changed book Toothless into what he is now in the movie for plot dynamic sake but that doesn't mean I think less of the book version.

Well... Book Toothless is a and he has gotten nicer, too. Movie Toothless is also great... I can't pick!

I havn't got around to reading the books yet :p I've just read up on them myself so i'm no Toothless expert :p

I would suggest reading the series before judging. The both are great.

Toothless likes looking like big 'scary' movie self and talking like little book self

Honestly, I'd rather not watch the second movie in the cinemas (big thing) than to pick out of those two. Both are perfect in their roles.

Book toothless is funnier obviously due to the fact that we can understand him. He will always be my fav character from the books

But I picked movie toothless because he is just too cute! Plus he is a lot more loyal and understanding towards hiccup. Even though book toothless had a bond with hiccup he is a lot more selfish.

Well, the only thing I don't get is, dragons are supposed to be selfish in that world. Toothless was the first to do a non-selfish act (or so the books say) and he has a close bond with Hiccup. While other dragons will desert their masters, but Toothless, over all, stays.
They're both perfect for their own worlds. I'm not forcing anything on you, just thought I'd explain what Toothless' role in the books is.
