Your opinion on Alvin bringing doom upon himself?

I don't know why, but I simply love that Alvin accidentally messed up the future by breaking up Valhallarama from Humongous. If this didn't happen Hiccup never would've existed, and Alvin never would have been stopped.
This might just be my favorite detail in the books..

It's little details like that, which make the Dragons franchise, the film and the books, truly unique and beautiful. For example, Hiccup's scar in the film-verse. Not a lot of other films are like that. Yet another reason why I became a fan.
