If this been mentioned before sorry for the repost.

I havent read the books yet, I have the first one, but dont hive to for it at the moment (too much work :S )

my question is does Hiccup and the others get older in the books, or do they stay at the same age through the 11 books?

No, they get older every book.

Hiccup's ten-and-a-half in the first book, and as they go on he grows and by the eleventh book he's fourteen. Camicazi is about two years younger than him and Snotlout is three years older than him. I'm not sure about Fishlegs.

thanks, but hang on, so he fights Alvin, who I guess is an adult, while he is not even close to be an adult? wow

Fishy is one year older.
