When will the migration happen...?

Nobody knows. But many ZetaBoards forums have already been transferred. It could be minutes, days, or even a few weeks. I just wanted to share this with you all.

Damn, I'll be sad to see this go. Moving to a new provider seems like the best choice though, hopefully we don't lose too many people.
Thank you for posting this, hictooth, and for everything you do for this site, even if IcelandicEel is not interested in this place anymore it's good to know that people are willing to help it continue existing.

Wait, what happens to a downloaded PM when someone replies to it, will it update or not?

One thing I can do, (and I've thought about it and am not sure,) is do a mass email to all members on the board about the change. On one hand it might remind people about this place and get them active again, but on the other hand it may just annoy them. and there's also the small issue of GDPR...

If anyone has any thoughts on this, let me know.

I think it’s smart to email them. They need to know what’s going on. One email shouldn’t annoy them.

I rarely use the forums anymore, but I'd hate to see the Forumvine get reduced to that boring preview. I doubt switching to a different provider could end as badly as sticking to TapaTalk, so I'm with everyone else in favor of a move.


Emailing everyone who's signed up for the forum would be the right thing to do, I wouldn't worry about annoying anyone. They can unsubscribe if they don't want updates or announcements.

I say move. That TapaTalk preview looked really bad. Also I wouldn’t mind email updates myself.
