It's certainly helpful to know, and kinda what I expected. Unfortunately you only get the HTML of PMs when you download the archive, which is a bit tricky to convert back into bbcode, which is what I would ideally want to do. There are a couple of options: 1) Don't import PMs (not really an option) 2) Strip the HTML and import them, so you'd lose all the formatting, quotes, images, etc. (again, not really an option 3) Make a [dohtml] bbcode, and use that, which would just display the html as is. (probably the easiest good option) 4) A bit of a crazy idea that probably won't work, and will take too long. So I won't even put it here. |

Another few thousand forums got converted this morning. Not us yet, because we have a custom domain and they're saving those for the moment. Even though I've not bene posting many updates, there's still lots of stuff happening behind the scenes, and I'm still hopeful we can migrate everything before we're forcibly switched to Tapatalk. |

Quick, potentially dumb, question. Have you considered using some sort of script (like AutoHotKey) to help with migration? I'm not sure what's involved, so there could be no place to use it. But if there is, it can save a lot of time. Especially with bulk edits of data. |

I've actually written a python script to grab everything. It's like autohotkey, but much more powerful and faster and more customisable. I'm still working on a way to get PMs, and also working on the theme for the new board. I'll have more time this weekend so hopefully things can progress then, as time is running out! |
