I know but the whole point of the first movie was to stop that and make peace with the dragons. But now I fear it has just started all over again
Why are you really against this war? Huh?
I've conversed with Night Fury Fire a bit, and it's because we like the happiness and friendship of the first movie.
There will still be peace and friendship, are we just going to neglect all the heartwarming moments between hiccup, his mother, and stoick? Not to mention the opening flight sequence is so fun and playful, and then the following scene where they bat at each other and play, to only focus on the external conflict of the film is to neglect a large percentage of it.

Yes the war will be a much larger scale which is to be expected they are older. I think you are focusing too much on the fact that there will be a war, it would be like focusing on the red death of the first film more so than the relationship between hiccup and toothless.

Also there will still be internal conflict as well seeing as hiccup doesnt want to be chief and i can see the emotional turmoil that will come with it.
