When Dean already said that HTTYD is going to be a trilogy, I don't see how Dragon 4 will going to be beneficial to the franchise. Splitting up the last movie is just not possible because I think that production work on it might have began already. And adding another arc to the story just doesn't make sense, when the story was clearly intended to be a trilogy.

A spin-off movie doesn't sound promising either. I don't know how to describe it but I just think it's not great to do that sort of thing.
