Yeah, the paws really do make difference.  They're definitely better!Toothless' eyes look somewhat alienish though. I'm quite sure they have a different shape. Their colour is tricky too; normally it's green, but it turns yellow once illuminated by sunlight (presumably due to light scattering). Anyway, that last remark is not criticism, just something to think about in the future. Good job anyway, keep up the effort.

Thanks @draco  @hictooth, Thanks for the comments (now that you point it out I totally agree, his tail is not right. Something to focus on in the next sketch!)@Puff, Yeah I think his paws do look better than in the first one. Good point about his eyes, I definitely need to try and improve on drawing the eyes, and the colouring! I was sitting on my bed, chatting with fellow HTTYD friends when I got an idea to try this out myself. So I grabbed a ballpoint pen, torn a page from my notes book, googled up the tutorial, started drawing and in about 15 minutes I had this: Full size (with my ugly handwriting )Huh, I didn't know I could actually make him look like Toothless. I messed up the bottom part though.  His tail looks really flat too.This was fun! I might do some more in the future!

@Puff @ToothlessTheNightfury Awesome guys! @Puff Thats really good, especially with pen (can't rub out any mistakes!) His ears look great, I always struggle with the shape of his ears! I agree with you about his tail though, I think it needs to be a bit bigger @ToothlessTheNightfury That looks great, his tail looks almost 3D Keep at it!I'm half way through my drawing at the moment. I've got a sketch in place, need to go over him in pen I'll be posting mine and the next tutorial soon! |

Alright so I thought I'd join in You might recognize his pose  but I thought I'd wing it and just draw from a reference still from the movie instead of a tutorial. Turned out better than I expected though  .
