You know that's what I thought when I first saw him, but now he has kind of grown on me. Ever consider making tweaks or revisions? He seems more approachable in the newer drawing, if you know what I mean. |

I know exactly what you mean. XD Although besides drawing style and improvement is concerned, Erland really is just confused. He doesn't ever think he can change at all. He thinks no one will take him seriously unless he's evil. Which is sadly true, to be honest. Erland kinda has polar opposite mood swings depending on who he's with. And that's why I meant for him to be kind of approachable in the second one. I drew him as if he was alone, and didn't have to prove anything to anyone. However, the first time I drew him, I kinda drew him in my head as if he was grinning smugly at one of his enemies. So I guess he would be scarier if you were on his bad side, compared to neutral. Also a small, fun tidbit, I redesigned his hair in the second one at the top ^-^ and made a slight nod to Scar's mane in the lion king.

 Here's lineart of Erland and Beck, his girlfriend. In a RP last night, Erland previously found out that Beck was not on Hiccup's side and is really an evil bounty hunter. So YEAH. now they're the evilly sasstastic couple. |

Yup XD he's of course fireproof to his own green flames but not so much to normal fire. I'd say his flames are a bit hotter than normal ones though. |
