Night Fury Art improvement 2013-2014!

Do you think I've improved guys? I drew the first one when I was 13, I just turned 14 now! :'D

I think you have imProved proportions and stuff like that. I can also see a difference in how you spaced the eyes.

You definitely improved. I love the second one- awesome take on the Alpha form! <3

And since you mentioned posting our improvements… (my scanner sucks btw ._.)
This is from late 2013 (December maybe??? I'm not sure, it's quite a few months old though) god that Hiccup is awful *bangs head against wall* humans aren't my strength :p but I've done better than this thing

and this is another attempt at watercolor from last week (the blue is too blue-green on this one o_o

Everything I draw tends to lean more toward cartoony than realistic.

You know what's kinda funny...I stumbled upon your deviant art gallery two nights ago and as I was looking around I was thinking to myself, man citycreek really improved from those first drawings. And now here you are asking what I was thinking in my head ^_^

I'll tell you one thing, your lighting and shading has definitely improved. I fell now that the way you draw the highlights and shadows really conveys the pictures mood very well (and that goes for all your recent artwork). Plus your background/environment element(s) look soooo much better than before. The moon lit sky looks really awesome in the latest Night Fury art.

As for the other drawings, I think the same can be said. When I compare the 2011 art to the 2014 art I'm like, is that the same person :O I have to say your latest drawing (called ExILE I believe) is probably my favorite one you've done, second only to Regal of the Royal Islands :)

You mind if I ask what program you use for creating all this amazingness?

;-; Thank you so much! Well my art programs vary, I was at a carnival doing live commissions when I drew 'Exile' so I needed a laptop for that so I used SAI.

I'm a regular mac user so I normally use Manga Studio, I drew the toothless with that program. c: Hope that cleared things up! It doesn't matter nearly as much as the program you use, it's more of the drawing style and experience. ^^'
