A Dragon Discovery - Chapter 4: How To Fly Your Dragon

The Nadder flew off, firing a hole in the roof of the hurriedly-repaired Great Hall. I hung onto it's neck, and gripped it's sides with my legs. This wasn't a very good idea though, as every beat of it's wings rubbed them raw. 'If only I had the skills to have made a saddle before I was banished...' I thought.
I left myself to my thoughts for a while, calmly gliding on the back of the Nadder. I could definitely get used to this. I shouted with joy and exhilaration. My joy was short-lived, however, as a rock whistled past, narrowly missing the Nadder.
"Whoa!' I shouted. 'Watch where you're going! You nearly made me fall off my drag-'
I suddenly realized where the rock had come from. A catapult. On a ship. And this was no ordinary ship...
It was an Outcast ship.
I was so consumed by the terror of realizing this, that I failed to notice that the second rock had hit its target - at least, I think we were its target - and we were falling.
A net grabbed the Nadder, but it didn't grab me. It seemed that the Outcasts only wanted the dragon. Well, that made sense. Even though I was one of them now, I was still a Hiccup. I could understand why they didn't want me. Not even my own father wanted me now.
Those were my last thoughts, before I passed out in the shocking cold of the sea.

A Dragon Discovery - Chapter 5: How To Kidnap A Hiccup

"Kul, Uth, go and check the fishing nets.'
"Okay, Chief Vierey.'
The Chief's son and second-in command bowed and walked out of the house. While they were walking, Vierey called, 'You don't need to call me Chief, or bow to me!'
'If I was Chief, I'd make everyone bow to me, and call me Chief, or they'd die.' Kul muttered furiously.
Uth chuckled.
'Kul, even though you're his son, if anything happened to him, I'd take over- and that's still going to happen, at least while I'm still alive.'
'You won't be for very long, when I tell my father about how you've just laughed at me.'
Uth ignored him, and carried on walking.
Eventually, they could see the boats in the distance. Kul ran ahead, and cried out when he reached the boats.
'Kul! What happened?!' Uth shouted, catching up with Kul surprising quickly, for a man his age.
'There's something in the water! It looks like a dead body!'
'Don't be a muttonhead, lad. They're not dead. They've just passed out.'
Kul's eyes lit up with bloodthirst. He picked up the boy with one hand.
'Hm. Only a Hiccup. I'll just kill him now.'
He reached for his sword with his other hand.
'Kul! No! You can't just go around killing everybody! For Thor's sake, have you been listening in your Leadership Lessons?!'
Kul had sheathed his sword, and was pointing it at the boy, indicating he hadn't.
'And this boy is a Hiccup, like your father!'
'I know. That's why I'm going to kill both of them.'
'For Thor's sake, Kul, you are not going to kill your own father, or this boy! And just to make sure you don't-' Uth twisted the sword out of Kul's grip, and put it into his belt. He also took the boy.
'HEY! You can't do that! My father gave me that sword!" he spluttered.
'Yes, he did- because it's a family heirloom- not because he wanted you to kill people with it, and get the blade all messy. Now come on- we've got to take these fish to the Chief, for the boy's dragon."
