Great job on this chapter.  He is starting to earn the other night fury's respect. But I wonder how the Queen will handle that when the time comes. And as for the female night fury, I'm guessing it's his sister. Or maybe old girlfriend. Keep going. |

I've been dying for this chapter. You had me glued to my chair. Especially when toothless lost the fight and everyone thought he was dead. But he actually survived the blast. P.s. how did toothless survive that blast?  But hiccup s reaction to toothless's death didn't surprise me on how close the two are. They act more like brothers than best friends. Just my opinion. Also not surprising on how hiccup shows mercy at the end to the gueen. Can't wait for the last chapter. Ps for the others on this site. You have to read this story. It great.

The parts you weren't surprised at weren't meant to be a surprise. If anything, I'm glad you weren't surprised by them because that means I kept Hiccup in character  If I did manage to glue you to your chair, that was because I put instant-glue on it  But seriously, glad you liked this fight scene so much!As for your question, I was going to put an explaination in my AN but I forgot. So, people who haven't read the story, don't read the following... But do listen to draco and read the story... Please?  I figured that the reason Toothless managed to go into this Alpha state at all was because he was angry at Drago's Alpha for trying to kill Hiccup with that ice blast. That should have probably killed him as well, but his anger allowed him to burst out of the ice. Kind of the same deal here. Toothless was annoyed that the queen tried to hit Hiccup, espacially when she wanted to fight Toothless on his own, and that was what activated the Alpha state this time. Again, all a theory. |

You definitely kept hiccup in character. Which was nice. So that's where the glue in my seat came from. I also have my opinion on toothless's blue mode especially at the end of HTTYD 2. I can definitely see hiccup trying to finish the fight himself if toothless lost somehow. Don't worry if no one else reads your story here. Your story on the fanfic site has plenty of readers there. But the folks here should read it to. Can't wait for the last chapter. |
