Valka's POV
"ERET!' I screamed.
'IT'S ALRIGHT, VALKA! HE WON'T HURT ME!'
"Not yet, boy...Not yet...' Drago snarled.
Are you ready, Cloudjumper?
As ready as I'll ever be, mistress.
The Stormcutter sucked in his breath, and flammable green gas started to build up in his throat.
'Cloudjumper, no! Don't fire! The ship is-'
Cloudjumper fired onto the metal side of the ship.
'Fireproof.'
That's Plan A gone. What's Plan B?
We're going to save Eret.
What?! Mistress, no! We need to fall back!
You don't trust me, do you?
Yes, mistress, of course I do- but if we go after the boy, we'll get ourselves captured!
Then so be it. I'll do anything to save Eret.
I pulled Cloudjumper into a dive, towards the ship.
'VALKA, NO!' Eret screamed.
'I have to. To save you.'
