Dragonrider's Fury

I think "Pencil sketch 3 (colour)" looks the closest.
So you think that’s the closest one that resembles the sketches seen in the actual Book of Dragons? :)
Books are like dragons... if we do not believe in them, and read them, they will cease to exist.
How then will we learn the language and understand the stories of the dear dead ghosts of the past?

As compared with the reference image, yes. :)

Okay. :) Well, my favourite one is Painting 9 (watercolour) because I like how it's not as 'clean' as the others, it looks like it's just a rough sketch, which would be the case in the Book of Dragons, so I think I'll use that one. Thanks for your input anyway!

Fantastic! :) Thank you so much!

I was thinking that as a reference for me (since I'm making the Book of Dragons featured in the game) and whoever is going to create the models (I'm not sure if @Dragonrider's Fury will currently be able to do it, due to having problems with Unity), I will write a list of every single dragon species that appeared in every film (unless we'd want to include the dragons from the TV series). Do you think we should include the Night Fury, Light Fury and Night Light as obtainable species in the game? Maybe you could even get a fully grown Night Light! :O 8)

I also just wanted to say, thank you to everybody for giving their time to this project. It means so much that to me there are people who are interested in working with me to help make this game possible to create.

Hey, can we leave the HTTYD3 spoilers in the HTTYD3 subforum? At least I already knew about that, but I'd rather not learn anything else about HTTYD3, until I've watched it.
I'd think we definitely would want include the species from the TV show, since we have written ideas that have to do with Dragon's Edge, dragon hunters, and all that.

Hey, I just had another idea! (Or maybe this was already suggested. I'm too lazy to page back through the thread to find out. But anyhoo!)

What if you could pick what timeframe you wanted to play in? For example, you could choose to play in the RoB/DoB era, where Alvin and the Outcasts are Berk's enemy, or the early RTTE era, where the Outcasts are your allies and Dagur and the Berserkers are the bad guys, or mid-RTTE era where Dagur's also your ally and it's just the Grimborn Bros. that are the opposition, or late RTTE where Krogan and Johann are the enemy, or the HTTYD2 era in which Drago and his army are the enemy! And the era chosen would dictate which islands you could visit and maybe which dragons you could find to train. :D

Oops, sorry! I didn’t realise. -_-

Yes, you’re right. We should include the dragons from the TV series.

Hmmm, that sounds like an interesting idea, but I would prefer it if you weren’t restricted in the game. Maybe your suggestion could be optional, like a ‘timeframe mode’ which you could select in the settings. Perhaps you could unlock it as a reward after finishing the game! But in the normal style of the game, I think it would be better if you could just go everywhere and train any dragon. :)

If it's mostly free-reign, there's not really an ending to finish :P Story mode, maybe, if that has an ending.

What about background music? I'd just use the soundtracks from the franchise. I highly doubt we could make our own :P

I agree with you. Timeframe mode could be a reward for finishing the story, as an incentive for playing the game again. But similar to Skyrim (which I'm absolutely loving at the moment), you could choose to completely ignore the main quests if you wanted, and just chill out with your dragon, exploring islands. :)

Yes, I was going to post about the background music at some point. I could be in charge of choosing the tracks, if you want. My only concern is that it might be a copyright issue.

If you're worried that the Soundtrack will cause copyright issues, how do you expect we'll get away with using the names, characters and places? :ermm:

Well, I thought @Dragondog knew somebody who might be able to help. And I'm sorry if I annoyed you, I didn't mean to.
