"Don't you dare speak of him in that way!" the soldier snaps. Surprisingly, he loses his husky tone and sounds more like a female. He- or she- sniffles and gently feels Hagen's chest, his wrist, and near his temple. "Besides, he's- thank Thor, he's still alive." It is definitely a woman speaking. She sobs a little with relief and pulls her husband closer. "He's unconscious, but still, I doubt he...he has very long if he's injured as he said." |

Tyra, Hagen's wife, removes her stuffy helmet and lets it roll away from her as the ship bobs along in the waves. She quietly finds the wound and does her best to dress it with fabric torn from her and her husband's shirts as tears silently leak from the corners of her eyes. She holds on to Hagen and prays that it is enough, reflecting upon the instructions he had whispered to her moments ago. She is determined not to need them. |

The ship reaches the harbour soon after Hagen is patched up. Ragged men scramble down the gangplank as soon as it's down and they rush to the sand and start kissing it and thanking the gods for letting them live. Derik smiles, feeling proud that he was at least partly for bringing them home. |

hi im réka im developing a mildly unhealthy obsession with obiwan kenobi (more like obiwan kenoBAE am i right) my personal tumblr is ninja-stop im also writing a fantasy/humor novel called RESET which i won nanowrimo 2015 with i have a writing tumblr for it if you wanna check that out yeah thats it this probably isnt what should go in a signature but w/e i have 2 pet buns | |

Derik see Ika nuzzling Hagen and knows what happened. He falls to his knees and buries his face in his hands to hide his expression. He shakes his head. |

Avalon ran onto the ship, seeing Hagan on the ground and Derik on his knees. "What's going on? What happened?" she asks. Then she sees Ika and gasps. "A dragon!" (remind me again, is the villagers' relationship with dragons such that she would draw a weapon or just be cautious?) |

(cautious) "Hagen is dead..." Derik says, his voice muffled by his hands. He sniffles and sighs. After taking his hands off of his face he wipes them on his tunic and stands up. |
