I think we're all in the SAME ARMADA here, guys, and I guess THAT means we can do WHATEVER we want!  So...I'll start, if no one opposes. Please, jump in with any writing format/characters you like!  The ship crashed back into the frothing ocean vertically as yet another wave tossed the crew closer to their deaths at the bottom of the angry sea. The sail- the whole mast, actually- had been torn from the planks that barely managed to call themselves a boat approximately nine tsunamis ago. The remaining crew that lasted through the tenth drowning was growing weary of their task: attaching their lives to any net, board, or loose nail that still held fast to the ship. "ODIN! Either SAVE us or ABANDON us now!" |

WHOOMPH......CRASH. Another massive wave smashed into the bow of the ship. Followed by sickening splintering noises, as her keel started to snap with the strain. Planks moved in the immediate area of the damaged keel. Water started pouring through the newly made gaps in the hull, at a rate far quicker than the men could bail her out. They knew they were doomed to sink |

"Sir," a desperate crew member shouted above the din of the waves, "what do we do?!" The captain's eyes reflected the panic of the churning sea below him. It seemed like a question of death or death. "I-" A wall of water dunked all life under the surface of the ocean. The boat barely returned. "Swim! Any more and the ship will crush us!" The armada had been reduced from twenty ships to one in the matter of an hour. A tragedy was upon the sailors, and, if no help came, there would be no one to remember the lost, much less honor them. |

Derik, a captain of a ship in the back was working hard with his other crew members to keep the ship afloat. "KEEP AT THE ROPES AND HATCHES! NO WATER MUST GET INTO THE HOLD!" A wave splashes over the deck. Derik curses at Neptune, Poseidon and Ægir for such horrendous waves when they're retreating from a powerful enemy. "At least they can't follow us in here... here's to hoping we make it," he mutters Derik spots the other survivors. "HEY!! TRY TO CLIMB ABOARD!" |

The captain of the sunk ship- the leader of the entire tribe, actually- watched with wide eyes as boats, cargo, and men were swallowed by the storm. A wave sent him spiraling downward. Only a rogue flash of lighting and a growling roll of thunder told him where the surface was. But he didn't have to fight his way back to the top. After all, sea captains were destined to sink with their ships, weren't they? No. His pride was greater than a lost chunk of wood. Exhaling a shout of bubbles, the chief pushed himself up, and his head emerged from frothing ocean. Another glare of lightning revealed Derik's ship and a few men swimming for their lives. He joined the struggle, shoving violent, churning water out of the way with all of his might as the waves giggled with bobbing laughter and played with the human, pushing him up and pulling him down at their will. "HERE!" he roared, voice grating in his throat as he battled to the boat. "I'M HERE!!!" Suddenly, a terrifying, inhuman cry filled the sky, echoing off of the angry horizon and vibrating through the hearts of every living creature caught in the storm. A winged shadow zoomed over the floating wreckage. "No. Please, gods, no. Not now." |

Derik heard the shriek and went straight for the net launcher. "Where are you..." He said as he aimed at the skies. He knew a legendary warrior had done this sort of thing before and made the contraption himself but he never thought he'd have to use it himself against another flying monster. "EVERYONE ON THE SHIP NOW!! HURRY! WE NEED TO GO BEFORE THIS THING GETS THE SHIP TOO!" |
