[continuing from where I left off] Vlad saw that the event was about to begin and Hiccup and Meyla were already heading towards the log. He petted Volt and Toothless and went over to the twins. He patted them both on the shoulders. "Come on guys," he said "event's starting!" He quickly petted Barf and Belch, as did The Twins and the trio headed for the log. Barf and Belch strolled over to Volt and Toothless and sat down. The dragons were all looking expectantly at their respective owners. He went over to the log and with a bit of help from Hiccup, got on. He helped up Ruff while Hiccup helped Tuff. This was gonna be a breeze he thought. He had great balance and was always light on his feet. Sometimes when he was in the forest he'd go tree hopping. jumping from tree to tree, branch to branch. He rubbed a sore spot on his shoulder where he fell from a tree a few weeks ago while practising for ThawFest. Ok well maybe he wasn't perfect just yet. The log started to move. The event had begun. The log started slowly at first but quickly picked up speed. He noticed that Svalva seemed to be pushing hardest. Soon Fishlegs was off followed by Astrid and Snoutlout. Tuff fell off soon after but Ruff kept on going. He was still going good. This isn't so hard he thought. All he had to do was keep pace and not get distracted by Asher and the crowd's screaming voices. He turned his head forward. He had to focus. If he could get Svalva to fall that would ease things up but he knew she was not going to go down easily this time. He could hear Hiccup grunting beside him and the rhythmic breathing of Meyla who seemed to also be doing pretty well. After a few more seconds he heard Ruff splash into the water. It was just Dany, Meyla, Hiccup, Svalva and him now. Easy peasy he thought to himself. He could hear Volt roaring at him but he dared not turn his head. He kept up his pace. |

Meyla let out a smile after many splashes sounded. She was doing better than she thought she would. She warned herself not to get arrogant... She kept her focus, keeping her steps the same length and speed. She looked over to see the remaining contestants but quickly turned to her feet again. |

"Looks like Fishlegs, Astrid and Snotlout are out." Asher comentated to Hunter. She wondered who would win. All the remaining vikings looked pretty determined. Asher screamed in support of everyone. |

"Yep, they're ooooOOOUT! My ears! Can you please warn when you're going to scream that way?" Hunter said to Asher, while checking if his ears were still intact after that. "Anyw-" He cut off when he saw Tuffnut falling into the water, soon followed by Ruffnut. "...there goes the twins. Now it's just Daenerys, Meyla, Svalva, Vlad and Hiccup! Who's gonna win that?" He said to Asher, while watching the unfold of the competition. |

Hiccup kept his balance well. He kept his focus on the task at hand. His leg was holding up good. He felt pleased. He did feel sorry for Astrid and Fishlegs. Though he hadnyo admit he was happy Snotlout was gone. |

(Are Astrid and Hiccup together in this thing?) The log rolled too quickly for a split moment, and one leg decided to fly forward. She luckily caught it, but it was too late, so she was only able to make sure she did a nice dive into the water. She came back up panting for breath and crawled out of the water. She quickly joined the other contestants to watch for the winner. She may not have one... but she didn't mind. She was surprised at how happy she felt too. She figured she would be embarrassed, but no one was booing her. She thought they never even bothered to think of her as a winner. She would prove them wrong, that was sure, in her own timing. She cheered along with the other young vikings. "Come on Vlad!! Svalva!! Go Hic!!" She beamed, though her clothes dripped all over the rock. |

"Hah.. Sorry. Again." Asher said to Hunter. Maybe she should start screaming, last time she cheered like that her voice was gone for a week. She turned around and could smell lunch being cooked. There was a lunch break after this event. It looked good. "Looks like it's down to Hiccup, Svala and Dany." She said. |

[and Vlad  ]Vlad heard Meyla splash into the water. He was still very proud of her though, she had lasted much longer than he had expected. He looked at her and in that split second slipped. Svalva chose that exact time to speed up a little. He lost his footing but he caught himself just before he fell in. He had to focus. He wondered how much longer he could go. Not very long if Svalva kept it up. He wondered if the fall into the water was as nice as it sounded. |

Dany heard a series of other splashes but she still didn't want to look for fear of losing her footing. She was sure the log sped up, so she quickly picked up the pace to match its new speed. She wasn't showing any signs of faltering just yet. "Not long now" She said. [Sorry it's short, I'm currently playing Hero Quest] |

There goes Meyla.. Well, she almost did it! It's impressive! "And Vlad" Hunter added. Almost everyone was slipping in that log! ...and almost Vlad goes too. He looked at Meyla for a split second and almost fell, but he caught himself just before that happened, so he's still going. "One of them is going at any second, I can feel that!" He said to Asher, while patting Stormy in the head, which was by his side all that time, happy and purring... And probably hungry. At least there was a lunch break after that. |
