As soon as Luna's done, Sparkflight blasts the boulders. Then she turns into a SkyWing and starts flying off. Luna follows. After flying for half the day, Sparkflight tells Luna to stop at an island. (She's leading because none of the dragonets except her have seen this place before.) "It's the best place for hunting before we reach the Icewaters," she explains. They both turn into RainWings to camouflage while hunting, which takes most of their resting time, so after a lunch of fresh fish, berries, and some edible roots that Luna found, the two turn into IceWings and continue on. A streak of red and gold flashes behind them, but none of them notice. Vengeance is back for, well, vengeance. (Find =D in the most sinister sentence) |

Vengeance shrieks in pain, but keeps moving. Sparkflight turns into a NightWing and slams her tail into Vengeance. "Traitor!" growls Vengeance. Sparkflight's only response is a wave of fire right in his face. "Come on!" Luna doesn't have to be told twice. She turns into a NightWing and shadow-travels away with Sparkflight. They end up in another boulder-blocked cave. Outside, Vengeance roars unhappily - his prey is gone. |
