Geir guffaws cruelly and points toward Derik. "YOU THINK THE BEASTS UNDERSTAND YOUR WORDS?! YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING, CHIEF!" The dragons seem to be right on target for the enemy ships, and, after being prodded, they are indeed very angry. |

"I know they can understand me..." Derik whispered to himself. He wasn't sure what to do now. His troops weren't able to board, it'd take too long and they'd be torn to shreds by the dragons. He knew that when angry, they were really testy. He couldn't shoot at the ships, the dragons would be at risk and they were too far as it was. Maybe riding them... but it's not something that one just did on a whim. All bets were on the dragons this time. |

"Come on, beasties. Don't fail me now," the warrior mutters. Luckily, the dragons hit. Every single ship. At least once. "It's a start!" he announces hopefully. "Doesn't look like they're mad enough to sink 'em, but that might just convince the enemy to turn around." A shrill shriek from the village, however, causes him to be the one to turn. "THE FOREST!" a soldier cries. "THEY'VE COME AROUND THE BACK OF THE ISLAND!" Enemy fighters pour from between the trees, opposite to where he and his troops are positioned. Geir curses and shifts his sword in his hands. |

Derik swore under his breath. He drew his weapon and ran towards the enemy, shouting for others to help defend the village. Some of the remaining dragons follow as well. Seeing this, Derik smiles. |

One long sweep of Geir's sword brings down three men. He plants himself in front of a building he knows is hiding a good number of their sick or young citizens, and he acts as their guard, slicing down any enemy that dares come too near. The warrior shouts, urging everyone who can to advance and push back the soldiers coming from the trees. |

The dragons swoop low and chase some of leading soldiers. They breathe a small amount of fire to scare them away from the village and when that's done, they use their wings to extinguish the flames. Derik helps lead the charge to stay on the retreating enemies' heels and ensure they don't come back to the village. |

The warrior watches, dumbfounded, as the dragons willingly help his tribe. He strikes more enemies down as a few wriggle through Derik's charge, but his attention stays on the winged reptiles. |

Derik sees Geir's astonishment in the hesitant fighting he displays and sneers. He's going to bring this up to him after it's done as evidence that dragon's should be treated as equal due to them listening as well as people. |
