This diary is property of Mirage the SandWing/RainWing/MudWing/SkyWing. If found, please return to the cave at Jade Mountain that has been shot through with veins of gold in its walls. I will be waiting...for so long, only so long... Sure enough, the walls of this very cave were interwoven with skeins of gold. Most of the pages were just random bits and pieces of Mirage's life. How she had grown up as a shapeshifting, primarily SandWing dragon, raised in a secluded forest in the SkyWing kingdom with only her parents for company until they were killed by scavengers, how she had learned to survive and fight, how to steal, how she had met her future soulmate, a SkyWing/SeaWing/IceWing/NightWing named Flicker, and most importantly, how she had mastered her animus powers. But there was an entry more alarming than even that: Today, our egg has hatched! He is a most wonderful child, primarily SkyWing, although the shapeshifting blood runs through him too. But a great tragedy follows the great joy, and the child was taken by Her Cruel Majesty, Queen Scarlet, no doubt for his astounding powers. Before she left, she told us she would name him after what she most wanted him to do: wreak vengeance upon us all. And so, on this day that was supposedly happy, our child was taken from us and... "They're not missing..." A painting, seemingly ancient, is brightening into view. Trapped in it are Heather, Astrid, Hiccup, Aaron, and the rest of the group(I can't remember if there were more people. Sorry), all in dragon form, standing perfectly still until the painting is fully coloured. Then a golden vortex of light opens up and swallows Starwatcher and Sparkflight up. |

The portal opens into a black wormhole of a space, with little knobs all around it that were clear, showing different places. Through one, the cave they were just in was visible. |
