Vlad jumped up. It was just after dawn. He rubbed his eyes and then stretched and yawned tiredly. Volt heard him and opened his eyes lazily. "Come on Volt," he said yawning again, "It's your time to shine. It's the second day of the Thaw Festival games and it's time for the Dragon Events!" |

Hiccup sat just outside his house fixing Toothless' saddle. He'd made a few new adjustments to it and his tail. "This Bud, is going to make you fly even faster." Toothless just gurrgled happily. "Now let's get down to the arena to be ready for the opening." He had to admit. He loved the opening for the dragon events. Him and all the riders on their dragons in a quick perade around the arena. |

Vlad got up, got cleaned up and began to put on his Skrill Armor. He made sure everything was extra secure. The Dragons had to parade before the events and show off a bit and if he wasn't properly secured in his armor he could be electrocuted. |

Hiccup smiled when he saw Vlad. He ran over and for a second looked around awkwardly. "Hey Vlad." He said nervously scratching his head. "H-Have you seen Meyla around? I um... I've got something I need to ask her." He he bit his lip and glanced to his left then right. He just hoped she wasn't too close to ruin the suprise he had in mind. |

Vlad eyed Hiccup suspiciously and grinned. "No I haven't seen her, maybe you can check at her house," Vlad gave him directions to Meyla's. "So you ready?" he asked grinning as he secured his armor. |

(im assuming we did that restart type thing) Meyla fastened the last belt to Kaida's saddle and the dragon groaned. "Oh come on, it's not even tight. I might end up sliding all the way off," she grinned. Kaida shook her head and pawed the ground eagerly. She was clearly just as excited as Meyla was for the dragon race. A massive horn blasted from the arena and they looked up. "Sounds like we're up. Don't worry girl, we got this." She ran a hand over the night fury's head and began walking up to the arena together. It wasn't long before she came across Vlad and Hiccup talking. "Hey guys! Ready to race?" |

(not yet, I was thinking we'd just get more into a plot line after the dragon events of Thawfest, they'll just go faster than the other ones did since they took a long time) "Oh you're here!" Hiccup grinned seeing Meyla. His hopes dropped a little when he saw the dragon, but at the same time he was relieved she had gotten through to Kaida. "I see you and the night fury made friends?" He smiled, "Guess I can't offer you a ride on Toothless for the parade..." He shrugged. "I'm ready," He glanced over at Toothless who was curled up on the side waiting for the day to start. "Looks like Toothless is ready too," |

Meyla couldn't help but grin when Hiccup smiled at her arrival. "Yeah... she's not so bad at all. Really friendly," she put a hand on the dragons head, who just made a rumbling noise. "Well, we're not the best at flying. So I'd actually like to go with you on Toothless at some point and get some pointers for flying... if that's alright. If anyone knows how to fly a night fury it's you," she pointed out. |

Hiccup smiled, "I'd be happy to teach you everything I know." He nodded. "Well, let's get this show uh... in the air?" he was going to say on the road, but the dragons wern't on any roads... He climbed onto Toothless and turned to the others, "Everyone ready?" |
